Amazingly Easy Recipes Turtles Southwest Chicken Soup and Peanut Butter Cookies
There comes time in every man's life when he has to cook something. Sure, we could take the easy route and eat something like a banana or an apple that didn't need to be cooked, but eventually we're going to have to break out the microwave or toaster oven at the very least.
Being a man that loves to eat, I naturally became a man that can cook when he has to. Yet I still enjoy the easy recipes. Those more obscure recipes that can produce food with the most amazingly minimal preparation and cooking effort. Those recipes need to be written down and given their due respect.
So, here are three of the most amazingly easy recipes in existence. They are recipes you can make to take to someone's house and show them off or you can eat them yourself. I've used this trick myself. All your friends will go, man, these are awesome! But above all else, they are easy to make.
Easy Recipe 1:
Turtles: this dessert is usually one of those take to a party things, but you can certainly eat your own share of them once they are made.
Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Don't worry, not much baking is involved, but we need the oven for a little bit.
Take a cookie sheet. Spray it with some type of non-stick cooking spray.
Take a bunch of pretzels and lay them out one at a time all over the cooking sheet, so that they are not touching.
On top of each one of the pretzels, place an un-wrapped Rolo chocolate candy, wide base down.
Once each of the pretzels is covered with a Rolo, put the pan in the oven. You only want to leave the pan in the oven about 1-3 minutes, just long enough for the Rolos to start to melt.
Then take the pan out of the oven. Place it on a solid, flat surface. On top of each slightly melted Rolos place a pecan half and press it down slightly. You want to compress the Rolo just enough to make sort of a Rolo sandwich between the pretzel and the pecan, but not to be running out all over the place.
Once all the pecans are pressed into the Rolos, you let the whole dish reach room temperature. Then, place the whole dish in the refrigerator and let them all cool further.
Once they have cooled to your liking, take them out of the refrigerator and take them off the pan. You can now put them in any presentation dish that you like or begin eating. But remember, especially with this desert, you can't eat just one.
Easy Recipe #2:
Southwest Chicken Soup: this soup is great all by itself, but I like to put melted shredded cheese on it and serve it with Tortilla chips.
Ingredients:
1 Can of Rotel tomatoes
1 Large Can of Camble's Chicken and Rice Soup
1 Can of white chicken meat
1 Can of whole kernel corn
1 Can of Ranch Style Beans
Preparation: open the cans. Poor all the cans into a pot that will hold all of their contents. Do not drain the cans prior to poring them in the pot. Heat the pot until it's contents begin to boil slightly, stirring while heating. Eat. Enjoy.
For a quick meal, the Southwest Chicken Soup is tough to beat.
Easy Recipe #3:
Easy Peanut Butter Cookies: this is the easiest cookie recipe I have ever seen. This is one of those recipes that, when there is virtually nothing in the house to eat, you still almost always have all of these ingredients. Just a very little amount of baking involved.
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 Cup of peanut butter (chunky or smooth, whichever you prefer)
1 Cup of sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is heating, mix the ingredients in a bowl until they are well mixed. Spray a cooking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
Take a large eating spoon. Scoop out one large spoonful and place it on the sheet. Do that again and again, placing balls of peanut butter mixture all around the cooking sheet without each dollop touching the other.
When the oven has reached 350 degrees, place the sheet in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cookies are a golden-brown color. Once they are done, place on a plate to cool.
Then you can eat as many as you want or share them with others.
These three recipes will not arm you to be able to take on the world, but they may make life a little easier on you. Let your taste-buds and friends think you have put many hours of effort into making each of these easy recipes.
